You must have good genes, Polli! Most people begin to deteriorate around 30 because, well, that's about how long we're meant to live without all the comforts of civilisation, like a reliable food source and the absence of predators. It's usually when we cease to be almost invincible, which is what frightens me - not being able to live for years in a way that really ought to kill you in weeks. You were very healthy, weren't you, Polli? Fit and all? Not that any amount of good maintenance can stop the body from eventually trying to destroy itself, but that probably played in your favour. I'm probably the least fit person I know. 30's when I'm going to have to stop drinking, smoking, eating terribly, being lazy, etc., or else I'll likely die not long after.

Milki, since you seem to know about deficiencies and stuff, how can I get my left eye to stop watering constantly? I think I might be possessed by the ghost of a crying Indian chief.

In response to Ann...I did see Science of Sleep a while ago and don't remember being particularly enthralled with it...and thus I don't remember much about it. If it is about what I have been feeling lately, maybe I would be more interested now.

Also, to add to this discussion...I also hate humanity. I think maybe I focus too much on all the horrible things people do and not enough on the good things. But I don't know. What do you guys think? Are there more bad people or good people in the world? Sometimes I swear there's more bad, but that's probably not really true...

Alex, in my 30's I ran at least once, and sometimes twice, every day. If I didn't run, I felt bad. If I went to bed without running, I would get up after an hour or so, and go outside to run, no matter how late, even if it was raining or snowing. But when I ran...I felt wonderful! Runner's high! The endorphins would kick in pretty quickly, and I would run until I got near home. Since I took a different route each time, I could be gone for 30 minutes, two and a half hours, or anything in between. I ran for the joy of it, not to follow some strict exercise plan. Was I healthy? Not exceptionally so. I caught colds, the flu, and even had some liver problem that kept me mostly in bed for a couple of months. Usually I even ran when I was sick. The liver thing made running impossible. I hated that. Now, 30 years later, I have peripheral neuropathy in my legs. A lot of the muscle tissue has simply vanished from my lower legs and feet. Plus, I have lower back problems. Running is not much of an option anymore. I really miss it.

swimming?

i always like sport, but as i broke most part of my body, only swimming is allowed, i try to swim two per week, but one is the minimum, i go in germany to swim, here water's so cold and disgusting. But of course we didn't have the same potential, my grandma who's 84 is extremely healthy, she's a veggie for 40years, undergo religious starve, walk everyday, wake up and sleep with sun, her daughter (my mother) is morbidely sick at 50. I expected be a melt of both

actually you can swtich world into bad and good, there is some place where people are extremely aggresive and arrogant like in france, or where people are more relax, tolerant as in germany, then of course you can find nice and bad people, but social culture makes a lot. That's why i want to quit this shitty france and looking seriously to get the german nationality, nothing attach me here anymore, culture, politics, humanity, all is crap in france and don't want to be relative with it anymore.

@alex pollen one eye sensitivity? my left eye is sensitive too (not the right) but if it's yearly, i thing you're lacrymal canal is irritated or obstrubtive, that's why your eye produce more tears

@becca i insist on the NIGARI magnesium, not this chemical add pills i took tonnes and it never work, since i drink natural nigari it works, i think it's like something more absorbable in the magnesium structure

I ride my bicycle lots. When I lived in Holland, I rode about 20 miles per day (into Middelburg, from the small town I was living in). I have a beautiful red bicycle from the 80s, and I love her. I used to have a really really nice beach bike from the 70s, but she needed lots of work. I am very sedentary, and I rarely go outside. I eat so unhealthily, too. Peanut butter, ice cream, cheese, and cereal are about my entire diet. I am always always always under the weather, though. I have headaches all the time, constant muscle aches, incredibly low energy, a sensitive tummy, it's awful.

I'm almost never sick. It's great, I can treat my body like shit and it just rewards me!

I got glandular fever a few years back and it's been achingly slow for my immune system to recover. Last year I'd spend almost a week every month in bed with something, this year much better (also glad it's recovering which confirms it was the glandular fever and not some serious ailment)

days gone worst and worst...i read between the lines in the guy's phonetext, he doesn't want to see me anymore, and i'm so hurt, it's only amour-propre but hey...i had this argue yesterday on FB!! with a friend of mine in paris, had my boyf at phone, and he was like....hum...icy. Got this letter from the Tax service which statues me in belgium, si i've to pay tax as i'm there, and in fact, i'm not for three years! got this "eastermail" from my mother which just sucks as hell, the president of the association i'm part of since 2008 just offers 3 paid job for the newcomer ( a guy just here from january) and offer me non paid job. No news from my producer and if i want to pass the commission i have to produce the production contract for at least 18 may...
just want to disconnect the phone, internet, buy 5kg of chocolate and watch big bang theory til death...

yeah and it seems not to stop, i've gain 12kg since february 2010...i feel so bad to be so fat...plus i'm more mocked in streets... today it was this "hey it's no more halloween, get off your sumo costume" and i'm "just" a "46 girl" how it would be for a "52++" i hate french, this people is so rude it's a shame...sometimes i envy texas inhabitants to have guns into their tiny bag...
