I have a "woo life" thing guys.

So I finally have a boyfriend that I like (I am a gay). The last time I dated a dude I really felt for was my senior year in highschool (I graduated college this past May), and things between him and I got really fucked up at the end. I broke his heart, he broke my heart, etc etc. So, in retribution, in college I joined a frat and slept around with a lot of girls and guys and did lots of coke and drank too much. I would only date people for sex, and whenever we got too close I would break up with the person. I don't regret it one bit, but it feels so good to be with someone that I have real feelings for. It makes things more stressful sometimes (if he broke up with me I would be pretty unhappy), but emotions are always an important learning experience, whether they be good or bad.

To put it in terms of Joanna, I always sort of felt like I was stuck halfway through "in california". I could get as far as:
'I don't belong to anyone my heart is heavy as an oil drum / And I don't wanna be alone my heart is yellow as an ear of corn'

But no clock trembling on the edge of hours. No cuckoos. It is nice to have some cuckoos. (Also I just moved to California this year. The comparisons go on and on...)

Ahahaha, at first when I saw my name I was all "!!!!", but it is sort of cool this way. I am doing a really good job in this relationship so far, especially with respect to fidelity. I have always sort of had problems being faithful to my SO, but I have been tempted numerous times now since we've been dating and have had no problem being good! Fuck yeah! Perhaps this is part of growing up; I can imagine it is much harder to keep it in your pants at 17 than it is at 23.
