Thank you! Joanna is probably my favorite musician to photograph because a) she's gorgeous, b) she makes the best faces ever, and c) she doesn't jump around all crazy so I'm not forced to use flash (not that anything's wrong with musicians who jump around---they're just difficult to photograph!). Plus the harp is as attractive of a prop as one could ever hope for. My only complaint is how she chooses to position her mic. :sure:

Therefor, I got more good pictures of her at the piano...it was unfortunate that two of the shows I saw had a "pictures only during the first two songs" rule, and the first two songs were both at the harp.

Ugh! I am so sick of this BULLSHIT!
I wish I could just get a gotdamn following for my music so then I would have the leverage to make outlandish demands. Like $500 per gig or my own dressing room or a bowl of M&M's with all the green ones taken out OR THINGS LIKE THAT.
But honestly...I am just sick of going nowhere and having to feel like some kind of musical prostitute to do anything other than play the same old bar with the same old bands and have an audience of a whopping 2 people. WHEN IS MY BIG BREAK? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
option A) I suck and have no talent and should just give up unless I want to get a boob job and embrace the slutwave movement
option B) I'm not hustling enough. I need to start harassing record labels or something and try to "get signed" or whatever.
option C) I just haven't had that moment of luck, which is really more important than talent in this industry anyway, honestly.
option D) connected to option C...I am never going to get a "big break" in this stupid town unless I start a ska/punk band, because that is the only kind of music this town produces with any success

I HATE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW. :glare:
