I've begun working in a music store (as in musical instruments) for the past few weeks. Mostly it's good, because it's relevant to my interests...but I was already working 2 jobs before I started and between the whole two weeks' notice biz, I've been working 3 jobs and am on my 10th day in a row right now without a break. But I'll go bitch about that in the other thread...

The past 2 days we've had 2 people ask about harps and harp-related things. Obviously we don't have any harps in stock because it's not an item that normally sells. We do more of the school band instrument biz and starter/intermediate guitars, basses, banjos, ukes, etc. But apparently we used to have those harpsicles...I wonder if I could get some kind of special deal on a harp through working there... :naughty:

I'd guess you could. If not, you'll have all the suppliers' details and stuff at hand, or almost at hand - I'd imagine you could get one cheaper that way. At least, if what my dad says every time I buy anything he could get off a sports supplier is true.

Wooo! Today is my first day off in 10 days! The plus side is I slept "late" (woohoo 9:00!) and stayed in my PJs until 2 (I would have all day if I didn't have to walk my dog) and have just basically vegetated which is all I wanted to do on my one day off.

I feel a teeny bit guilty, like I should do something useful, like empty the dishwasher or run errands, or go get my hair cut before I quit working at the hair salon and can't get it done free anymore (! the one drawback of leaving there!), but mostly I don't care. I practiced my music, walked the dog, and made a grilled cheese sandwich! That's pretty productive considering how tired I am. :lol:
