How do you end a friendship with some civility? The person in question is my closest friend. She brings out the worst in me, the person I no longer want to be. Subtlety will be lost on her but I don't want to hurt her either.

at some point of my friendship with my long time best friend (12 years) i stopped responding phone, email. i'm ashamed but i never found the way to explain all the things i dislike in her, as i ever love her and can't judge her, but our way are now separated. sometimes i met her downtown, it's nice, few words, shy smile and that's all.
can't figure to say to a close friend " i don't want to see you anymore"on my opinion. did you try all you could to change the situation? if not, is it a possibility that this friendship isn't dead?

They're mostly gone now! I think maintenance is going to finish them off. I feel kind of bad for them. They left me alone pretty quickly. And I changed the vomit-y sheet and the bloodstained bedding... ahem. So now my room is habitable.

90% of the things troubling me right now can be summed up in "in california", "easy", "does not suffice" and "flying a kite"
i am a bit of a mess at the moment but thinking that joanna newsom may have experienced the same things feels worryingly comforting

Oh, I know. When my ex broke up with me, as soon as I was capable of doing anything but obsessively watching Lord of the Rings again and again, drinking soup and writhing around on the floor in emotional agony, I sobbed my way through Only Skin and it was beautifully cathartic. Lots of love and support!

i use it a lot too even if in french i turn tiger into lion
"rester à la maison comme un lion en cage" sounds better than "tigre"
