Gerben that looks so lovely

This area is not so relaxing really, the other day I saw a security guard tell someone off for dangling thier legs over the ledge above the water! It's nice to look at but don't have any kind of fun!! The bar area is kinda cool, there are big cussions you can carry off into the surrounding area and you can just sit and relax.

The greenery had gone now on the boat which is a shame but I got some free peace lillies out of it.

Woo life because I got my blood-work over with (though still waiting for results)
MRI results were mostly good (won't return for another 6 months or so)
and orthopedist says I don't have to come back for anymore x-rays!

Ahahaha, that's so great Gerben. I have a picture of my mother laying down on the streets of Dublin ... I don't even remember why. She decided to peer inside something, but really, she was just laying down on the sidewalk. It was bizarre.

yes Queenie, it certainly looks like they are checking the underside of the bed, but actually they are praying to Allah which should be done facing the east.

I've only recently become a fan of Muse. My gf brought them to my attention. They are awesome! :hyper:

I can't think of anyone else at the moment, besides Joanna, that I would really like to see in person. Probably the biggest obstacle in the way of that is that I can only stand for a few minutes before my legs get too numb to remain standing. Maybe I'm wrong, but they don't seem like the kind of act that plays small, seated venues.

I envy your experience, queenie! :hyper:

I genuinely think Muse are everything that's wrong with modern music. Overblown to the extreme, I can't stand anything about them.

Now why would I post just to say something horrible? I guess I just feel it that strongly.

That's pretty strong, Tom. What is it that's wrong with modern music, as exemplified by Muse? I can think of examples of modern music that I don't like, from a variety of different genre, but I find it difficult to identify anything other than "I just don't like the way it sounds" that connects them all. What makes Muse so wrong musically?

I just find them really over the top with everything to the extent that it's painful, most clearly the more you recent you get in their catalogue of albums. The emotion, the music, I used to listen to them a bit but I find no subtlety there, just ramping everything up to the extreme to get cheap feelings out of the listener. Obviously it's just my opinion

When I was younger, I though Muse's first two albums ( well, maybe the third too ) were outstanding!
But I saw them live shortly after album no. 4 and...it wasn't was I expected, I was really disappointed. Their show was just so pretentious, the teen crowd was hysteric...I got the impression that it wasn't about the music, it was about sweeping gestures and a big big show.
Which was a pity, because I came for the music. It was kinda unappealing. I wish I saw them live when there were only three people on stage and they had to deal with their wall of sound without musician no. 4.
I listened to album no. 5 and I thought it wasn't that bad, it was quite okay, but it's just not my kind of music anymore, but there are still Muse songs I really really adore.

Well...and it's a woooooo life, because I spent two weeks in Iceland with my loved one and it was awesome awesome awesome
