Well, I spoke to him again and he said that if he considered me a nuisance, he wouldn't feel obliged to speak to me, which I guess is his way of saying that he doesn't consider me a nuisance. That's how he gives things away - in cryptic clues, like a crossword where you get the chance to fill in one clue every few months. And that he'd just been cross because he had a bad week. I said I'd like for him to feel like he can talk to me about stuff like that, and if he actually wants someone to talk to like that. He said he didn't know what he wanted from me, he didn't know how he felt about me or anything. Again, I said he could talk to me about it, and tried to engage him about it. I said I knew it probably made him uncomfortable, but just said what the impression I got of how he felt was right or wrong. At first he just said, "Sure, I don't know." And then he clammed up. He's impossible. It's like getting blood from a stone. I just want him to open up to me, and god knows he could do with opening up to someone, because it doesn't really seem like he has anyone he can talk to like that. All of his relationships seem to be so shallow. I think I may have actually connected with him more deeply than anyone else, in that when I demonstrated through deeds that I cared very deeply about him, and I told him that I loved him, he admitted what's probably the most personal thing he'd admitted to anyone before: that he loved me too. I know from the scraps he offered while he still did love me that there was someone before me, who may have hurt him. Maybe that made him reluctant. Maybe that contributed to my fantasy of the vulnerable Mason, my image of my poor beloved who just needed an open heart to receive him. I don't know. It was like having a relationship with the Minoan language: it's unknowable in its entirety and all you get to see of it is a few vague glimpses. Maybe I should stop being attracted to ISTPs.

I forgot to mention that I kind of sort of met someone, yes? We met a few days ago. We'll be going on a date soon. He's quite gorgeous and he seems like a kind person! He works with developmentally delayed people in a group home. I can't wait to get to know him more!

What's even greater is that he's the one who approached me. I, of all people, the wallflower!

Allright! first part of the test is done. This is how it went:

The test was about music theory. We did it through skype so that I didn't have to take the plane to Holland for this test. My examinator was a very friendly, smiling and calm guy who even gave me tips when I did something wrong. He played chords on a piano and asked me which chords he was playing, I did fairly well I think. He will give his report to the jury and tomorrow they will listen to music I have written to hear if I have potential. So tomorrow or on Wednesday I'll hear if I'm accepted!

When I got drunk the other day I forgot the whole "don't drink when you're taking antihistamines" thing. Consequently I was hungover for two days, but it's over now and I feel (relatively) strong and lucid again! Hurray!

Apparently it changes the way you metabolise the alcohol and the antihistamines. Long-term, you can develop a resistance to the antihistamines if you're drinking while taking them.
