There are quite a lot of dialectical things like that that don't really make sense. In Glasgow, people often finish sentences with "but", which doesn't seem to make sense; however, I've started doing it even though it doesn't feature in my dialect, so I kind of get where it comes from - I'd say something like, "Well, I'd like to go, but..." if I'd been having a conversation where that fitted in, and instead of repeating the reason, just leaving it implied. By now I do it so much that I'd just say, "Well, I'd like to go, but." "Innit" is kinda like that, I think.
