Tim Burton's okay, my friend took me for my birthday last year to MoMA and we saw the exhibit of his. His doodles were adorable.
I love Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and Big Fish,
but not most of his other movies.
Plus I can't stand the whole pseudo-goth/emo 12-year-old-girl-with-fake-highlights subculture of Tim Burton lovers.

I enjoyed Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice (was a fav when I was younger) and Mars Attacks!, but everything else... eh. He took a giant dump on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I saw it as a kid and I loved it. Watched it again more recently and still loved it. Edward Scissorhands is really good too. It's so easy to call anyone overrated these days.

Eh, I saw Nightmare Before Christmas when I was little, it sort of annoys me. Especially all the little girls that love it. Edward Scissorhands, too.

Helena Bonham-Carter scares me. I supposed that's her desired effect, though.

I get that Nightmare before christmas has an irritating fanbase but it's a really visually fascinating film, I'll never forget the moment towards the beginning where Jack and Zero are walking along a little spindly hill that unfurls just as they reach the tip... magic. Edward Scissorhands is not necessarily a childrens film, it's an allegory bla bla and it's really well achieved. Moving, too.

I have never met anyone that likes Helena as much as I did - when fight club came out I even bought the huge fuzzy jacket!
