Timothy and I went to see that movie, Chronicle, and very early in I became aware that it was filmed in Western Washington and I realized how much I miss my lovely green home. El Paso is so windy and dusty. I went outside for a minute the other day wearing flats and when I came back in the top of my feet were covered in a thin layer of dust. And I miss my little sister, who, due to her extreme keep-to-herselfness, I have not even spoken to since I left.

It must be really tough, going from somewhere green and pleasant to somewhere brown and dry. Maybe you should try and see as many of the nearby beauty spots as you can - try and fall in love with the landscape around El Paso. The climate'll probably take longer to get used to, though.

There are actually some brown and dry places that are pretty nice. El Paso is not one of them. However, within a couple of hours by car you can get to places like Whites Sands New Mexico, with its miles and miles of white sand dunes, and not far beyond are mountains with places like .

Do stuff! That's what makes life worth living. And, about learning Spanish. You might as well get it over with. It will likely be the country's primary language before you get to be an old lady.

i'm glad you choose french, but i've to admit it's not very fluent around the world, and certainly not to your latitudes. you can learn spanish very quickly it's a really easy language, i spend one week in italy and at the end i was able to be comprehensive to other people to order my own meal or find my way in streets, italian, spanish, same easiness.
think of me i've to learn german, which is more more difficult

have the family council in less than an hour, i'm shaking, i'm nauseus, i already know what my sister will say and i'm already upset and disapointed, i'm gonna break with her, it's necessary but it hurts and it's a lot of stress to manage

i took french in school too, but living in Texas for 10 years taught me spanish as well(not that i am fluent).<a month in Italy also taught me enough Italian to get by...knowing many words in french and spanish helped a great deal there>
Ann i am a little miffed at yer "tude" here, u have been dropped in the middle of an adventure and u seem determined to avoid it at all costs. u expect to live there 3-4 years and not even be touched by it? open yer horizons a little it won't kill u, who knows u might even come to fall in love with the place if u open yer heart to it.... and learning spanish enough to get by is going to harm u how? the desert is full of life, of many varied and amazing types, it took u quite awhile to come to love yer verdant home...could u possibly break down and enrich yerself a little...sheesh

Like so many other people I watched the Kony 2012 video yesterday and got all emotional. It's terrible to see what happens to those children and Kony must be stopped. But now after some thinking I dislike that the video hits so much on emotions and is made in such a sensational way. Like children screaming together: WE CAN DO THIS. WE WILL NOT STOP.

Then I discussed it with a friend who told me that you can see on their website that only 30% of donations go to the war against Kony. This money is used for the military. This person also told me that the man behind the whole project has gotten quite rich now.

What do you guys think about the campaign?

i know anything on this one particularly but most of the time ONG aren't really clear and fair with donations, i only gave to really knowed ones "medecins du monde" which is particularly active "medecins du monde goes where anybody's goes" they do a really great work, and "wwf" as i'm totally into animals, quite more than humanity

you'd have to lodge it with your subconscious, probably. that's what i tried to do, but it hasn't returned any of my calls and my thoughts have been broken for months now.

I don't know. I am weird, And not even a little bit reserved about it. She said she was going to the Ren Fest, and i casually mentioned that i love the Ren Fest. She said that she'd be 'embarrassed' to be seen with me. ZAAt the Ren fest, of all places. One of the few places where I DON'T look like the weird girl. It's bullshit.
Like, fuck, if you don't want to be friends with someone who is completely comfortable with themselves, how comfortable could you possible be with yourself?
